Choosing An Identity Scheme

There are three Autokey Identity Schemes currently included in the NTP Reference Implementation: IFF, GQ, and MV:

  IFF GQ MV
Shared Secret Group Client Key Group Server Key Individual Client Key
Crypto Password Individual Shared Shared
Key Updates      
Key Revocation     Individual Client revocation is possible but not currently implemented
Best used for     Situations where indivdual client keys are required.
